(WAOW) – If you're feeling a little too lazy to rake the leaves in your yard, you may not have to! According to the National Wildlife Federation, leaving the leaves on the ground has a lot of benefits.
The NWF says leaves are a natural ecosystem and many species live on rely on the layers of leaves.
It also benefits your garden, acting as a natural mulch.
The NWF says if you must rake your yard, use as many of the leaves for mulch in your planting beds as you can.
