It was a banner day for UW-L athletics on Monday, as both the women's soccer team and women's volleyball teams received at-large bids for their upcoming NCAA tournaments.
The soccer team will make its first appearance in school history in the NCAA III Championships when it faces Pamona-Pitzer College on Saturday.
UW-L is 12-6-2 in 2015, and earned a share of its second Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in school history thanks to a 5-1-1 conference record. The Eagles lost to UW-Whitewater in the WIAC semifinals last week.
The volleyball team will make its 13th appearance in the NCAA III Championships when it faces Carthage College on Thursday. The Eagles are 17-13 all-time in NCAA appearances, finishing third in 1986 and fourth in 1985.
UW-L volleyball is 20-9 in 2015, and finished third at the WIAC Championship after earning a share of its 10th regular-season conference title.
