COPY-Packers fan will get replacement sign from Carolina Panthers
North Carolina (WKOW) ---- The Carolina Panthers say they will replace the banner that Cam Newton tore down Sunday belonging to a Packers fan.
Scott Paul, the Executive Director of Stadium Operations, released information on the Carolina Panthers website. Paul says they are working on reviewing their sign policy and that the Packers banner was allowed into the stadium.
Mike Dobs who now lives in North Carolina, is a Wisconsin native who brought his cheesehead banner to the game Sunday. Dobs was upset before the game when Quarterback Cam Newton came over and ripped the sign from the family's hands and took it.
Dobs tells 27 News he is glad the Panthers reached out to him and said they will send him a replacement.
