Bangor football chasing school history

Bangor, WI (WXOW) -

Bangor is one win away from their first ever trip to the WIAA state finals.
To get there, the Cardinals need to beat Burlington Catholic Central Friday night.
Catholic Central ended the regular season ranked 2nd in the Coaches Poll.
    Bangor was 3rd.
It's a challenge the Cardinals are ready to embrace.

"We have to stop their quickness and their speed, definitely.  Use our strength, which is our power running game and play good defense tomorrow," said head coach Rick Muellenberg.
"I expect our guys to be jacked-up and fired-up for this game.  We're one of the local teams playing and this is the second time we've made it to the 4th round of the playoffs in school history.  I expect us to be fired up and ready to go and be excited we're still playing football," said senior tight end/linebacker Seth Plenge.

Kickoff Friday is set for 7 PM at DeForest High School.
