The Badgers and Northwestern will meet Saturday.
Wisconsin has slim odds of catching Iowa for the division lead.
However, this game will likely decide who finishes second in the Big Ten West. That could be an important distinction when it comes time for bowl games to hand out their bids.
The Badgers are still looking for a marquee victory this season. Beating the 20th ranked team in the country would do it.
"It's two 8-2 teams. There has to be some bowl implications. I don't really know what they are," said head coach Paul Chryst.
"There's a number of very good bowl games associated with the Big Ten, those games in Florida. There's a few games in California. Depending on how things shake out, we could be anywhere in the country. So, it's exciting," said quarterback Joel Stave.
Saturday's kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Camp Randall Stadium.
