UW-La Crosse used an 11-1 run in the second half to gain separation and eventually lead to a 71-47 win over Viterbo at Mitchell Hall Tuesday night.
The Eagles regain the Alumni Cup after Viterbo ended a 10-game losing streak in the series last year.
UW-L led by as many as 10 points in the first half before Viterbo cut the lead to 34-29.
That's when the Eagles went on their run.
Devin Yurk led the way with 17 points for the Eagles.
Austin Fritz had a season-high 13 as the Eagles shot 57.7% from the field in the second half.
Jake Bamke was the only player in double figures for the V-Hawks.
He had 10 points.
"First game back in a rivalry game. I mean intramurals you don't really have rivals. It's exciting to come into. You got to lay it all on the floor. It's going to be tough, grind both ways. Just real exciting to get out here on the floor," said Yurk, who joined the Eagles this season after spending his first couple of years o campus playing intramurals.
The Eagles lead the series 17-11.
