Madison, WI (WKOW) - -

Badgers running back Corey Clement has been cited with two counts of Disorderly Conduct in the fight that happened November 8 at the Hub apartment building in Madison. Three others are cited in the incident, as well.

Madison Police say the story released by Wisconsin Athletics earlier this month was not reflected in the video footage obtained during their investigation, going so far as to say the news release was not factually accurate.

On November 12, the University released the statement, explaining that Clement suffered a cut to his hand and was assaulted after intervening in a verbal dispute between a group of people and a security guard at his apartment building.

According to the police report, when officers arrived to The Hub around 2:35 a.m. on November 8, they spoke with Clement, who was hyperventilating and had an injury to his right hand.

The police officer notes in the report that Clement did not seem to be under the influence at the time.  Clement told police he and the security guard were in the elevator with a large group of Asian males and Asian females.  Clement also told police that it started with a comment made by the security guard and him about the way one of the others in the elevator was wearing their pants low and relating it to those in prison.

Clement says that when the group exited the elevator things got "rowdy."  He also told officers he had his back to the wall and "tried to stand my ground." In the report, Clement says during the fight he was on the ground, and punched and kicked "at least 25 times."

Dana Mitchell, the security guard, told police she would have called them sooner, but she did not have her phone with her as she escorted the group upstairs.

She tells police Clement and the group were in a verbal altercation until they were outside of the elevator.  She told police that's when a female in the group got in the middle and Clement made the statement, "y'all need to get your hoe."  Mitchell says she tried to get in the middle, but that eventually "Corey hit him."

Madison Police say when they got to the scene the large group involved in the fight had left the building and officers needed descriptions of them to find them.

Clement was taken to UW Hospital for the injury to his right hand.

In the report, police detail that camera footage shows Clement threw the first punch after the verbal argument.

The others cited in the incident for Disorderly Conduct are: Kevin Ha, Pa Nyia Xiong, and Botmonyroth Men.
