The Badgers continue their challenging non-conference schedule with a trip to 14th-ranked Syracuse Wednesday for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Once again, the spotlight falling on the shoulders of Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes.
Koenig, in particular, appears to be the key for Wisconsin. In their four wins, he has averaged 19.5 points per game. In their previous two losses though, he has scored just nine points on 16.7 percent shooting.
The junior has had to change his approach this season and look for his own shot more as this team lacks offensive options.
"He went from last year being the fourth or fifth option to maybe the first or second, depending on the night. He's getting more attention, more pressure is coming with it. We all know he's a great shooter. You're going to have those nights shooting the ball," said Hayes.
"I mean any great shooters keep shooting, get in the gym after you miss a bunch of shots, just work on your form again and just go back to the basics really," Koenig said.
Wednesday's tip is set for 6:15 p.m.
