Viterbo volleyball improved to 2-0 in pool play thanks to an ultra-tight 3-2 win over Dordt College at the NAIA National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa Wednesday.
Dordt was one of just four teams to beat the V-Hawks this season, so Viterbo earns a measure of revenge.
Viterbo won the first two games rather easily, 25-18 and 25-18.
But the Defenders rallied to take the next two sets 26-24 and 29-27.
Viterbo won the final set 15-11 to close out the match and improve to 38-4 overall.
Natalie Geidel had 19 kills and Amelia Grahn had 55 assists to lead the way.
Viterbo is virtually assured a spot in the elimination round and has one more match in pool play.
That's Thursday against Georgetown, Kentucky.
