Tight end Andrew Quarless is back with the Packers after being activated from the injured reserve-designated to return list, adding a veteran option to Green Bay's inconsistent offense.
Rookie receiver Ty Montgomery was placed on season-ending injured reserve Monday to make room for Quarless on the roster.
Quarless sustained a knee injury in the Week 3 victory over Kansas City and missed 10 games. He caught two passes for 14 yards in limited action after catching a combined 61 passes for 635 yards and five touchdowns during the previous two seasons.
Montgomery sustained a high-ankle sprain during a win in Week 6 against San Diego. He was close to returning on two occasions, but aggravated the injury at practice.
