Eden Prairie, Minn. (WXOW) -

The Minnesota Vikings signed seven players, including Caledonia native Isaac Fruechte, to reserve/future contracts, the team announced Monday.

Signing the contract means Fruechte will remain with Minnesota and cannot be signed by another team. The contract features similar rules for minimum veteran salaries, cap charges, signing bonuses, etc., but doesn't take effect until the start of the next League Year (March 11 at 4 p.m. according to CBS Sports).

Fruechte caught six passes for 49 yards during the preseason before signing with the practice squad in early September.
