Central scored 50 of it's 74 points in the second half to key a big come from behind 74-55 win over cross town rival Aquinas Tuesday night.
The Blugolds dominated the first half while building a 34-24 lead.
But then Central opened the second half on a 13-2 run to take control.
Kobe King led the way for the Red Raiders with 29 points, 25 of those in the second half.
Central coach Todd Fergot offered some words of wisdom at halftime.
"He just told us to keep our composure an just play our game really. At the end we knew it would turn out this way if we played our game and played good defense. It's a big win. A city win is always a big win, a conference win is always a big win, and I think this is going to jump start our team," King said.
Conley Malone lead Aquinas with 19 and Eddie Harwick chipped in 15.
Central improves to 10-2 and 3-1 in the MVC.
Aquinas falls to 7-5 and 2-2 in the MVC.
