Copy-Dog found abandoned in duffel bag in Wisconsin wildlife area
PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say someone abandoned a dog in a large duffel bag at a wildlife area in south-central Wisconsin.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says the dog was reported found Thursday in a Department of Natural Resources parking lot at the French Creek Wildlife Area.
Authorities say the dog is an adult female black Lab. The dog apparently had suffered blunt force trauma to the head, but authorities don't know if that happened before or after the dog was placed in the duffel bag.
The Columbia County Humane Society has the dog in its custody.
