It is a holiday for those who follow college football, specifically football recruiting.
It's National Signing Day and the Wisconsin Badgers welcomed in the 2016 class.
31 players signed their national letter of intent to play for Paul Chryst and the Badgers football program...
25 are on scholarship and there are six walk-ons.
Athletes are coming from 14 different states, but 4 are from Wisconsin.
Head coach Paul Chryst says he's confident each of these players is a good fit for the University and will bring a lot to the field and to the classroom.
Now, a lot of attention focuses on where these in-coming players rank, but Chryst thinks that today should focused on giving these kids a round of applause for making a major life decision.
The thing that gets lost and we try to make sure we celebrate with these young men and their families, this is a big day for these kids. You know no every kid has the opportunity to play in college and to be able to earn a scholarship and to play in the Big Ten and to do it here in Wisconsin. It's an exciting day for these kids," Chryst said.
Where does this recruiting class rank?
According to the national recruiting services, anywhere from the high 20's to 40 nationally.
