The Central Red Raiders used a scoring burst mid-way through the first half to take control and beat Onalaska 70-54 at the Sutton Gymnasium at Central High School.
The win clinched the MVC title for Central, who improved to 10-1 in conference play.
Onalaska started fast and took an 11-8 lead on a basket by Tyler Turiff.
But then Bailey Kale got the hot hand for Central.
He scored 19 points in the first half and the Red Raiders led 38-29 at the half.
Central pushed that lead to 19 at one point before settling for the 16-point win.
Kale had a season-high 26 points and Kobe King chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds.
"I feel great. I'm glad I got this opportunity to play with my teammates and got to battle with these guys. I'm proud of their win. I'm proud of everything, we battled tonight," said Tristian Morgan, who finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
"We're 10-0 on our home court, it just feels really great. Freshman year we were conference champs, last year we let it slip away. So this is a really big win for us. I'm super excited and so happy for us," said Kale.
The win also likely secured the number one seed in the regional playoffs for Central.
