Caledonia boys hope 3rd time is the charm

Posted: Updated:

Caledonia boys basketball is headed back to familiar territory, the Minnesota State Tournament.
The Warriors will take on Jackson County Central in a Class AA quarterfinals Wednesday.
This is the third straight season Caledonia has earned the trip to state.
They lost in the title game last year.
Many of those players are back.
Jackson County Central will be making their first trip to state, so Caledonia is hoping to take advantage of their state tournament experience.

"It feels good having to be there a couple of times, you know what it's like. We've had our fair share of big games this year too. Being able to play in more big games will be fun. Being there three years, very thankful for that. It's always fun," said senior Colton Lampert.

"So, with three of our main guys got time up there, and other guys have been up there with us as a team and got shots on that court. It's a great confidence builder to be up there and on those courts.  So it's just another game," said head coach Josh Diersen.

Wednesday's tip is set for 6 PM at Williams Arena.
