Onalaska, WI (WXOW) -

The La Crosse Loggers held their annual Winter Baseball BBQ event at Stoney Creek Hotel on Tuesday.

A sign baseball is just around the corner, the event featured former Milwaukee Brewers catcher Damian Miller, Loggers General Manager Chris Goodell and other members of the coaching staff, and the La Crosse Area Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

The Loggers went 40-31 in 2015, but missed out on the Northwoods League Playoffs after falling to Kenosha 7-2 in the South Division play-in game.

La Crosse is reloading the roster in 2016, including bringing back league MVP Mason McCoy among other notable players.

"Ryan Mantle from Missouri State University, which is a two-way player, infielder and pitcher, is the third cousin of one Mickey Mantle, will be coming in," Goodell said. "Griffin Conine an outfielder from Duke University is the son of Jeff Conine."

Opening Day for the Loggers is May 31 at Kenosha. The first home game at Copeland Park is Thursday, June 2 against St. Cloud.
