La Crosse police K-9 teams rated among highest in nation

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
The La Crosse Police Department has some of the best K-9 detection teams in the country.
On March 29, the department announced that it's three narcotics detection K-9 teams each placed in the Top 10 at the annual United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) Narcotics Detection Certification Trials.
With a perfect score and fastest time completing the course, Officer Tony LeQue and K-9 Ralph took home the top prize. Officer Casey Rossman with K-9 Brutus and Officer Trenton Bowe with K-9 Zaback also each placed in the Top 10.
A total of 59 teams from the Midwest tested for skills such as speed, accuracy and obedience at the trials held in Stillwater, MN.
