Chase Johnson is just one of the many examples of just how deep the boys basketball talent pool went this past season.
The Logan senior finalized his college plans Thursday.
Johnson signs a letter of intent to play for Division II Minnesota-Crookston.
He averaged 13 points a game while playing a variety of positions this past season.
Johnson was a second team All-MVC selection and now sets his sights on Minnesota-Crookston.
"I'm very happy. I mean most people don't get to do this so, it's an honor.
It was the coach and the team, they made me feel like a family.
They're pretty young, they're a young team and they have room to grow," Johnson said.
Johnson helped guide Logan to a 16-9 record this past season.
It was a season in which he hit game-winning shots in the final seconds to beat rivals Central and Aquinas.
