Most people head south for a little spring break.
The Coulee Region Chill are heading north to Alaska and are thrilled to do it.
The Chill will take on Fairbanks in a best of five divisional playoff series.
It will be a daunting task for the Chill. Fairbanks finished the regular season with the best record in the league.
Coulee Region is 1-3 against the Ice Dogs this season. But three of those four games were one goal games, so they've played them tough.
"We've played pretty well in that rink for the most part over the last couple of seasons. It's a place that we're comfortable. They get a great crowd there. They're energetic and into the game. It's an exciting place to play," said head coach A.J. Degenhardt.
"In my opinion, it's just two teams. We know we're a great team. We've had a lot of success the second half of the season. When we came back with 3.9 seconds left (against them earlier this season) and tied the game up, we know we can beat them," said forward Larry Jungwirth.
Game one is Friday night at 10:30 PM local time.
