Shayne Swadley, 22, of Readstown, Wisconsin appeared in Vernon County Court on June 1, accused of stabbing a woman because he "wanted to see what it felt like."
Swadley is now charged with one count of attempted first degree intentional homicide and a count of reckless injury.
Authorities say Swadley and the victim, 45-year-old Christine Mazilauskas, had no prior confrontation before the attack.
Currently Swadley is in the Vernon County Jail, on a $100,000 cash bond.
The Vernon County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the woman stabbed last week is now in stable condition.
45-year-old Christine Mazilauskas of De Soto was stabbed in the neck area multiple times.
Investigators suspect alcohol and meth were factors in Shayne Swadley, 22, stabbing Mazilauskas.
Swadley will make his initial appearance in court Wednesday. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash.
Authorities will be interview Mazilauskas today.
