There will be a change at the top of one of Wisconsin's perennial powers in boys basketball.
Aquinas boys head coach Sam Servias is stepping down.
Servais told WXOW 19 Sports that he is retiring from teaching as well and that the time is right to do both.
He spent the last two seasons as the Blugolds head coach, going 27-24 overall and leading the team to the division 4 state tournament this past spring.
This was the second stint for Servais as head coach.
He previously led the program from 1981-88, winning 5 conference titles.
Servais said he's confident with the direction the program is heading, which also made the timing right for him to step away.
