BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (AP) - The case of a missing Brooklyn Park girl has led authorities to remove her and her three siblings from their home where a child died last February. A couple from the 11-year-old's neighborhood found the girl outside a clinic in Bloomington where they gone for an appointment Monday. Police say the girl and three siblings, including a 3-year-old, were taken into protective custody after their home was declared uninhabitable.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis officials say an independent investigation is planned of a city report that its police officers have repeatedly asked medical responders to sedate people with the powerful tranquilizer ketamine. Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced the third-party investigation on Monday. The search for candidates to perform the investigation will begin immediately. A draft report obtained by the Star Tribune said the drug caused heart or breathing failure in some instances.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Passions ran high though people remained polite as Minnesota regulators opened a key hearing that's meant to lead to a final decision on whether to approve Enbridge Energy's proposal for replacing its deteriorating Line 3 crude oil pipeline across northern Minnesota. A crowd that was about evenly divided between supporters and opponents turned out. The Public Utilities Commission plans to decide next week whether to decide whether the project is needed.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Public safety officials are raising concerns following a deadly weekend on Minnesota roads that saw nearly a dozen fatal crashes, with nearly half involving motorcyclists. The Minnesota State Patrol says the Friday through Sunday stretch is the deadliest on Minnesota roads since 2016, killing 11 people. Five deaths came from motorcycle crashes and one involved a pedestrian.
