SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (AP) - A pilot is dead and two people are hurt after a small plane crashed into a farm near Sheboygan Falls. Authorities say the plane crashed into a barn and calving building, killing an unknown number of animals. There were 40 to 50 animals in the building at the time. The plane apparently crashed shortly after taking off on Friday afternoon.

BEULAH, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in northern Michigan believe they've found the body of a kayaker who went missing nearly two years ago. Volunteers with high-tech equipment discovered a body Thursday in deep water in Lake Michigan's Platte Bay. Benzie County Sheriff Ted Schendel tells "they're the heroes." In 2016, Tyler Spink of Kalkaska was paddling with a friend on Labor Day when their kayaks capsized. They had started at the mouth of the Platte River in Benzie County.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee officials are inviting Jay-Z to bring his Made In America music festival to the city next year because Philadelphia no longer wants the event at the location it's been held since 2012. Alderman Khalif Rainey says in a letter to Jay-Z's company, Roc Nation, that Milwaukee is known as a city of festivals because it hosts dozens of events annually, including Summerfest. The letter Thursday is signed by four or Rainey's Common Council colleagues.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker has asked President Donald Trump's administration to issue a federal disaster declaration for six northwestern Wisconsin counties that saw flood damage in June. Heavy rains fell across northwestern Wisconsin beginning June 16, washing out many roads and culverts.
