The first ever Riders for Survivors fundraiser kicked off Sunday morning.
The event benefits members of the YMCA's LIVESTRONG program which helps cancer survivors regain their health and well-being both physically and emotionally.
Motorcyclists took off in the morning for the 110 mile ride through the area. In all, some 200 people participated in the event on motorcycles and in cars.
LIVESTRONG member Darla Bingham said she's grateful for the event. "This event is very important to me because they're raising money for a program at the YMCA that's going to help a lot of survivors of cancers it helps them get back into being active."
Following the ride, participants enjoyed a meal and raffle at the YMCA north branch in Onalaska.
Organizer Denise Malone said she was very excited about the turnout for the first year of the event.
