A bill named after a Wisconsin veteran who died of a drug overdose at the Tomah VA heads to the President's desk.
The Jason Simcakoski Promise Act passed the Senate with almost unanimous support.
Among other things, the bill gives stricter guidelines for doctors prescribing pain killers, and gives more training to doctors.
Jason Simcakoski was on multiple prescription pain medications when he overdosed at the VA.
He has become the face of a movement to prevent opioid and heroin overdose deaths.
President Obama says he will sign the bill into law.
