Alex Lueck, 2016 President for Oktoberfest USA said the new, Märzen style brew will fill this year's momentous Golden Keg and is a testament to the history of fest.

"The original starts of Oktoberfest were at Heileman and they wanted to create a festival to promote the new harbor and the city and then also, it was coming out of the 50's and it was kind of the economic down turn of the area. So they wanted to do something to create fun in the community and promote the community. So that's where Oktoberfest started and that's kind of how it got its roots and how it's tied into Heileman," said Lueck.

Buttons for Oktoberfest 2016, "Family, Friends, and Fun," are currently available for pre-order online for $10.

Specialty event tickets and buttons will be available in locations in La Crosse beginning in August. More information regarding entertainment and events for "#Fest56" can be found on the Oktoberfest USA website.
