Actor, Sean Astin best known for his roles in Rudy, Samwise in Lord of the Rings, and Mikey in The Goonies paid a visit to La Crosse Tuesday.
He stopped by the Democratic campaign office in downtown to highlight Hillary Clinton's campaign.
"It's a really exciting time to be an American, it's an exciting time to be involved with politics and when you've got a candidate you believe in it really makes you feel alive. This particular election is really like no other. There's a whole new level of excitement that's been brought in because of Donald Trump and I think people are starting to wake up to the fact that is it a very very dangerous moment," expressed Astin.
He touched on Clinton's plan to create an economy that works for everyone, in addition to thanking the local volunteers for their hard work.
"The people that I've come across in Wisconsin are uni-formally open-minded, they may not agree with you and they're comfortable sharing that," added Astin.
Astin stressed that as an actor, his political voice is no more important or no less important than anyone else's-adding that he has a right to share his beliefs during this election.
"Rudy Ruettiger" even toured Lambeau Field while he was traveling through Wisconsin.
