Griffin Conine hit his league-leading 14th home run of the season and the La Crosse Loggers beat the Duluth Huskies 3-1 Saturday.
La Crosse (17-11, 34-30 overall) has now won five of its last six games at Copeland Park. The Loggers have five more home games remaining before the end of the regular season on August 14.
The Loggers only tallied three hits, but made the most of them. Conine's 2-run home run in the first inning gave La Crosse an early 2-0 lead, and Gavin John's RBI single in the fourth inning made it 3-0.
Zach Kesterson worked six scoreless innings on the mound to earn the win. Dave Smith earned the save.
