The NCAA's investigation of alleged rules violations by the UW-Stevens Point men's basketball program will continue, the university announced Tuesday.
In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, UWSP said NCAA officials will visit Stevens Point to conduct on-campus interviews as a part of its investigation, which is regarding alleged rules violations involving practice times for the Pointers men's hoops team.
"UW-Stevens Point is cooperating on all aspects of the investigation," the statement said. "Because of confidentiality rules and to maintain the integrity of the investigation, UW-Stevens Point cannot comment further."
USA Today Network-Wisconsin is reporting that the men's program will forfeit three practices next season, including the first day of practice on October 15.
The violations are alleged to have occurred after the Pointers 2015 National Championship season. There is no timetable set for the investigation to be complete.
