Playoff football is nothing new to Westby.
They've made it to the post season five straight seasons.
They enter this season with a unusual dynamic to their team.
The Norseman do not return a lot of starters.
But they do have a deep and talented senior class coming back.
It's a group that's had to bide their time and they're anxious to make their own mark for a tradition-rich program.
"We've all been in football the last four years and we all know what we're capable of. We have lots of time in. Just because we haven't started doesn't mean we haven't got our time in. We're ready," said senior quarterback Kyle Anderson, who's had to overcome two serious injuries to start this season.
"It's got to be the seniors. It's a good senior class. You win or lose with your seniors and if we have that many seniors stepping up into prominent roles I have confidence they can get the job done," said third-year head coach Andy Hulst.
It will be a daunting task in the opener for Westby.
They host Darlington, who made it all the way to the division six title game last year.
