It seems like every week a different UW-L player is stepping up on offense.
Through the first few weeks, it was senior Joel Oxton. Against UW-River Falls, it was Sam Zwieg. Against UW-Stout, it was Dante Marski, and on Saturday against UW-Whitewater, it was Nick Holcomb.
In all, six players have caught a touchdown pass through six games this season. The Eagles have the top-scoring offense and second-best pass offense in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
"Yeah, it's a lot of fun to play receiver in this offense," Oxton said. "We take shots left and right. That all starts with obviously the players but also coach Landry. It's extremely fun to play for him."
UW-L travels to UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.
