After dominating during the regular season, Viterbo University's volleyball team is gearing up for another deep postseason run.
Riding a 33-match win streak, the V-Hawks are ranked third in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics top-25 poll, and are seeking a third-straight appearance in the league's Final Four.
Viterbo completed a perfect 16-0 mark in North Star Athletic Association play over the weekend to end the regular season 36-2, but there is work to be done.
Junior All-American Natalie Geidel has been out of the lineup for three weeks, and Viterbo hasn't been playing up to its high standards as of late.
"We have some struggles during the matches but overall we're doing pretty well," head coach Ryan DeLong said. "We've got a week here for the conference tournament then three weeks for nationals so we've got a little bit of time to keep working on things and get better."
Viterbo will host Mayville State in the NSAA tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The V-Hawks are the top-seeded team in the eight-team tournament, which runs through Saturday.
