La Crosse area baseball fans have the chance to vote in four distinguished individuals this fall.
The La Crosse Area Baseball Hall of Fame announced its nominees for the class of 2017, and voting is now open to the public.
The nominees are: Jerry Augustine, former UW-L and Milwaukee Brewers standout, Leon Dolan, Roy Patterson, and Paul "Pip" Wuest.
Voting runs through December 31. Winners will be announced early next year.
Each inductee will be honored with an engraved plaque in the shape and size of home plate, and will be permanently embedded in the sidewalk around Copeland Park. There are three classes of inductees: Living legends, Golden legends, and Local legends.
