UW-L wrestlers anxious for big dual meet

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -

If you love wrestling then you need to check out the action at Mitchell Hall Saturday.
UW-La Crosse is hosting the Candlewood Suites Duals.

Ten of the top division three programs in the nation will compete.
Six teams ranked in the top 20 will be on hand, including 4th-ranked UW-La Crosse.
It's a great early season test for the Eagles, who will host the NCAA Div. III Championships in March.

"We have a young group.  At times we've had three or four freshman in the lineup.  I was looking at our stats today and we actually have some freshman leading our team in wins.  One is a local guys, Konrad Ernst, who's a freshman heavyweight from Onalaska.  So, they're definitely meeting and beating expectations of our team and I really like how we're competing and competing hard in everything we do," said UW-L head coach Dave Malecek.

Each team will have three matches.
The first matches will begin at 9 AM at Mitchell Hall.
