GREEN BAY (WAOW) -- Packers defensive tackle Mike Pennel has been suspended for the remainder of the regular season for a second violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Pennel also missed the first four games of the season for his initial violation.
Because it's his second incident, the third-year former undrafted free agent could have been suspended for as many as ten games, but reportedly won an appeal in an Ohio Court to reduce his suspension to four games.
Pennel has just five tackles in eight games this season. He would be eligible to return for any playoff games, should the Packers make the postseason.
Green Bay hosts the 8-3-1 Seattle Seahawks at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
