La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -

Pat Healy didn't get into coaching for the awards, but he can't help but take notice this time.

The recently retired UW-L women's track and field and cross country head coach is one of six inductees into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches Hall of Fame this week. He will be honored at a ceremony Wednesday in Orlando as part of the USTFCCCA Convention.

"An award like this is number one very humbling, but it's also a really big honor to be recognized by an organization that I've been involved in for a lot of years," Healy said Monday. "This is something that not everybody gets the opportunity to do, so I am very humbled and extremely honored."

Healy, who spent 25 years at UW-L, led the Eagles to a pair of national titles and 38 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association titles across both sports, and earned 28 WIAC Coach of the Year honors. He coached 463 NCAA Division III All-America winners.

More information about the ceremony can be found here.
