La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -

Madessa Collins found Kyah Steiner inside for a baby hook shot with 2.4 seconds  left to lift Aquinas to a come from behind 59-58 over Onalaska in a match-up of the two top teams in the MVC.

Onalaska had controlled the game for the most part.

An Emma Gamoke basket gave the Hilltoppers a 26-14 lead and Onalaska led by 12 at the half.

Tayla Stuttley had 24 points but missed two free throws late setting the stage for Steiner's game-winning hoop.

"I saw Dessa was pretty closely guarded so I thought I should cut in there and she happened to find me and gave me a really good pass. I knew I had to shoot it because I didn't have very much time and I was just praying it went in and it did," said Steiner.

Steiner finished with 16 points while freshman Lexi Donarski led Aquinas with 18.

Aquinas stayed undefeated.

They were the top ranked team in the state in division four according to wissports.net.
