The Eagles opened last year's season with a 65-14 victory over Ripon advancing to 2-0 for the first time since 2009. This afternoon, the Eagles were looking to start the season the same way and carry over that offensive rhythm from the home opener.
This time around, the Eagles were in Ripon at Ingalls field.
The offense was rolling right away starting with Tarek Yaeggi's 27 yard touchdown pass to Nick Holcomb. Eagles up 8-0 after a successful 2-point conversion.
Ripon responded as Quarterback Julian Patton found a hole and went 64 yards for the touchdown. Red hawks trail 8-7.
Eagles are now up 14-7 later in the first. Their focus has been on improving the running game and Trenton Smith made the coaching staff proud as he powered his way through the Red Hawks pack for the 1 yard touchdown score. Eagles now on top 21-7.
Moving to the second quarter, Yaeggi went to Holcomb again for the 32 yard touchdown. Nick Holcomb finished the day with 265 yards and four touchdowns. The most in school history.
Eagles defeat the Red Hawks 45-14.
