Two well-known names in La Crosse are named as part of this year's Oktoberfest facilities.
The two were announced at Wednesday's event at Loggers Field.
Gary Rudy, owner of Rudy's Drive-In, will preside over the Maple Leaf Parade. Tim Colgan, owner of Colgan Air Services, will be the Torchlight Parade Marshal.
Colgan said he's "thrilled, I don't really know what to expect everyone has kinda take care of all that stuff...I'm in , I'm ready full time to meet a lot of new friends it should be a good time."
Gary Rudy said the honor is "Wonderful, ecstatic, couldn't be any happier. And a big privilege."
You can see the Torchlight this year Thursday September 28 at 7 pm.
It begins at the corner of Kane and Gillette Streets on the Northside. The Maple Leaf Parade is Saturday September 30 at 10 am.
That parade starts at the corner of Clinton and Rose Streets.
While the fest begins September 28, events related to the annual celebration of German heritage have already begun.
On August 26th, we learned this year's Festmaster and Frau are Brian and Karen Rude.
We've also learned t names of two others who are part of the Oktoberfest family.
Keaton Hall is this year's Special Fester.
And Madeline Kumm is this year's Miss La Crosse Oktoberfest.
