Trempealeau County authorities said a Trempealeau man was killed Friday morning in a crash on Highway 93 near Arcadia.
Brian K. Stankey, 60, died in the crash.
The driver of the semi, Aaron L. Lieder, 26, of Sparta, was not injured in the head-on collision.
One person is killed in a crash early Friday morning near Arcadia.
According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office, it happened just before 3 a.m. on Highway 93 about a half mile south of County Road G in the Town of Arcadia.
The investigation showed that as a semi was headed south, it pulled into the northbound lane to pass another vehicle. An oncoming car in the lane then collided head-on with the semi.
The sheriff's office said the driver of the car, who was the only one in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi and other vehicle weren't injured.
The name of the victim hasn't been released.
Highway 93 was closed for more than eight hours following the crash. It reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
