The history of La Crescent, Minnesota's apple capital, will be on display September 23.
One of the oldest homes in the area will be featured in the La Crescent Historical Society's "Walk With History" event.
Offering a chance to experience some of the area's hidden beauty, while learning a bit of history behind the city.
The event aims to increase the understanding of resident's life and hardships in La Crescent's early years.
Owner of the historic home, Regina Chihak, describes how learning more about the surrounding history can be beneficial,
"It's important to see, what did people have to do a hundred and fifty years ago to even make it? Some of the stories we've uncovered about the Cameron family even, though they were fairly wealthy they had two small children die in the wintertime."
The "Walk With History" will take place at 1430 County Road 6 in La Crescent on Saturday, September 23.
A $5 donation towards the La Crescent historical society is suggested.
