Rodgers Leads Packers Comeback Win

Posted: Updated:

The Packers are coming off a mini bye week after playing the Bears last Thursday, and that break allowed some injured players to be ready for today's match-up in Dallas. Bryan Bulaga, Mike Daniels, Davon House, and Davante Adams are all ready to go Sunday.

First quarter, Beasley gets in front of Davon House, and Dak Prescott hits him for the touchdown. Cowboys on the board 7-0.

Now number 12 and the packers. Rodgers lofts it up right into the hands of Davante Adams for the ten yard touchdown. Crosby misses the extra point and packers trail 7-6.

Prescott and Beasley are connecting today. Beasley gets his second touchdown on a five yard pass, and the Cowboys extend their lead 14-6.

Cowboys now up 21-6 with seconds before halftime, and Aaron Jones filling in for injured Ty Montgomery, and he shows he's here to stay with a seven yard touchdown run. Packers trailing 21-12 at the half.

Fourth quarter now, It's 21-15, and Rodgers play action, and Jordy Nelson is wide open in the back of the end zone. Packers take the lead 22-21.

After a Cowboys field goal its 24-22, and Damarius Randall with the interception and touchdown. He does get called for taunting after the score, but the Packers are up 28-24.

But, not for long as Dak Prescott keeps it for himself and goes 11 yards for the touchdown. Cowboys on top 31-28.

But, you can't leave anytime for Aaron Rodgers.16 seconds on the clock, and Rodgers with a dime to Davante Adams who gets up and makes the catch.

Adams was on a stretcher 10 days a go, and now has two touchdowns against the Cowboys. Packers win 35-3. With a little over a minute left in the game, here's what was on Aaron Rodgers mind during that final drive.

"I'm thinking touchdown," Aaron Rodgers said. "We had time. We had a timeout. The key to any good two minute drive is the first play. You have to get some positive yards. We had a good concept front side and kind of an alert back side which actually kind of set up the entire sequence. Hit Devante on a back shoulder to start the whole drive. That ultimately sets up the winning pass because he's playing high shoulder on the first play, we go back shoulder. He's playing lower shoulder on the last play, we go over the top with a high throw."

"Damarius Randall's play of the game was huge," Mike McCarthy said. "That's the one turnover of the game. Great play by Damarius. Aaron Rodgers on the two minute drill, I don't know what else to say him, I have to expand my vocabulary. Just a great job by Aaron the whole structure of the two minute offense. I thought Dallas was aggressive with the two minutes of pressure, and the scramble play was big, and obviously the touchdown throw was outstanding."
