Honoring local heroes is the goal of the La Crosse Moose Lodge this weekend.
Saturday, at their monthly spaghetti dinner, they'll be honoring hometown heroes: the police officers, the fire departments, and the EMS system of La Crosse County.
"We feel its important to honor these heroes because they don't receive enough recognition with all the negativity going on in the world right now," said Debbie Johnson, the secretary of the Women of the Moose chapter.
The event runs from 4:30 until 7:30 pm at the Moose Lodge at 1932 Ward Avenue.
Anyone wearing a badge eats for free; Tickets are $9 for others.
All proceeds from the event go to rebuilding their fellow Moose city, Moosehaven in Florida, that was destroyed during Hurricane Irma.
