On paper, it looked looked like it was going to be a tight one.
Both The Eagles and Warhawks entered their match 5-0 in the WIAC.
But in the end, UW-La Crosse left no doubt who's in charge of the WIAC after beating UW-Whitewater in straight sets Wednesday night at Mitchell Hall.
The Eagles won the match 25-23, 25-15, and 25-19.
Stephanie Henk led the way with 10 and Maddie Entinger had 29 assists.
UW-L is now sole possession of first place with one more conference match to go.
They clinched a share of the conference title for the third year in a row and the 12th time in school history.
"It's just so exciting. We're beyond blessed. So excited, especially as a senior to be in first place, I couldn't ask for anything more," said Henk.
"I think one of the things we knew we needed to do well tonight was do the things we do well. That's serve and pass and play defense. Our offense took some time to get going. I think when the pieces finally came together we did a really nice job of putting the ball away," said head coach Amber Dunn.
