The UW-La Crosse women's basketball team used a 17-5 run in the third quarter to seize control and pull away for a 56-44 win over UW-River Falls Wednesday night.
Ava Kramer led the way with 12 points and Elise DeNoyer added 10.
The Eagles remain in the WIAC title hunt by improving to 6-3 in conference play and 13-7 overall.
"Really excited. Obviously, River Falls is a very good team. They're very skilled across the board. We knew it was going to be a tough match-up for us. They got us at their place and played really well. We just wanted to play our best and be very competitive," said head coach Karen Middleton.
