Girl Scout Cookie Program promotes female entrepreneurship

Posted: Updated:

It's a favorite time of year for many people around the country: the kickoff to the Girl Scout's cookie-selling season. Sally Egan, the director of product sales for the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Badgerland Council, as well as scouts Isabel and Scarlett Mavrantonis joined us on Daybreak to chat about the cookie sale.

The Girl Scout Cookie sale will begin on Saturday, Feb. 3 and continue through Mar. 11. The Badgerland Council uses cookie earnings to provide fun, educational adventures for its more-than 7,300 girl members, while girls and their troops choose how to invest their earnings in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities and more.

Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Badgerland Council serves 23 counties in south-central and southwest Wisconsin, as well as Houston County in Minnesota and Allamakee County in Iowa. Its service centers are in Madison, Janesville, Platteville and La Crosse.
