College student's preparing for their careers after school got some help planning their transition into the workforce on February 2.
A special career forum at UW-La Crosse gives students in the College of Science and Health an opportunity to learn more about their fields of interest and meet with potential employers.
The forum features more than 20 employers looking for young professionals, and provides students with opportunities to make valuable professional connections.
UW-L Career Advisor, Josh Bench elaborates on the event's value to students, "So often it's easy to be stuck in the classroom and not have an understanding of how the things you're doing in the classroom actually translate out into the professional world."
Bench elaborates, "So this a chance for them to learn right from the people that are going to hire them and that they are going to work with someday."
This is the fourth annual Science Career Forum, UW-L plans to provide more opportunities for students to make professional connections next year.
