After months of discussion, the 'Hatched Baby' sculpture has a home in La Crosse.
On Friday morning, the Arts Board approved placing the piece at City Hall near 6th Street.
The nine-foot tall sculpture is currently disassembled and in storage in a Myrick Park shelter.
Mayor Tim Kabat will work with the Park Department move the 'Hatched Baby' likely in mid-March.
The sculpture is on loan from Wolfgang Auer, a German artist from La Crosse's sister city, Friedberg, Germany. Mayor Kabat says when exchanges like this happen between La Crosse and a sister city, it is important to display the art even if not everyone agrees with it.
