UPDATE: A driver asleep behind the wheel led to a two-car collision in Winona County that ended in a car burnt beyond recognition.
According to Winona County Sheriff Ron Ganrude, 20-year-old Joseph Herber, of Rollingstone, was driving a Camry North on County Road 17 at Echodale Road around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday when he fell asleep behind the wheel and crossed the center line.
Herber then struck an Accord driven by 62-year-old Loren Harvey, of Houston, head on. After the crash, Herber's car became engulfed in flames.
Harvey was transported to Winona health with unknown injuries, according to the Sheriff.
According to a witness on scene, the blaze made the vehicle unrecognizable.
Winona Police and the Wilson Fire Department Assisted On Scene.

Our witness on scene says, the two car crash happened at Winona County road 17 and Cobblestone lane southeast of Winona, around 11:30 last night.
It appears that it was a head-on crash.
Some time after the crash, one of the vehicles caught fire, and made the vehicle unrecognizable.
Injuries are unknown at this time, but our witness on scene says it appears that no one died in the crash.
Winona County Sheriff and Wilson Fire Department responded to the scene.
